Celebrating the Caboolture electorate

A new Caboolture electorate is being reborn – re-established as gazetted on the 29th of June – north of the river, west of the Bruce, up to Elimbah and out to Mount Mee and Woodford. It’s for us in this village to make it our own again.

There is a long history with an electorate called Caboolture represented by Labor that we can celebrate:

  • 1986–1992: Ken Hayward.
  • 1992–1998: Jon Sullivan.
  • The 1999 redistribution effectively abolished Caboolture and renamed it Pumicestone, which included an area north of the river.
  • 2001–2012: Carryn Sullivan represented Pumicestone.
  • 2017-  : Mark Ryan has represented north of the river as part of Morayfield.
  • 2020-2024: Ali King represented the area west of the Bruce Highway and north of the D’Aguilar Highway as part of Pumicestone.
  • The Caboolture seat today includes parts of Longman, which were once held by Jon Sullivan (2007-2010).

Come and share a family-friendly coffee catch-up / lunch.  Come to share stories and belong to something special.

Carryn Sullivan (Pumicestone MP 2001-2012, when the electorate included Caboolture north of the river) has advised that she will attend. This should be good for retelling some of the history of the Caboolture, Pumicestone, Glass House and Longman electorates. Senator Mulholland has indicated that she will attend for a while, and Mark Ryan has said he will pop in.
