The battle against inequality, an agenda for National Conference

Rebecca Fanning speaks to a strong agenda to be taken to the National Conference, focused on tackling economic inequality and rejecting the One Nation agenda, which will be no good for working people.

• Using the levers of Federal Government to smash Economic Inequality, tackling big tech, the billionaires and corporates to pay their fair share in tax.

• Real action on housing affordability, including tax reform on investment properties to address intergenerational inequality.

• A gas royalties regime that makes multinationals pay their fair share, hopefully to be addressed in the forthcoming budget.

• Making sure workers are paid a fair amount. Same job, same pay in the first term, but there's more to be done by continuing to explore where improvements can be made.

Rebecca emphasises that we need big, bold economic reform to help our community. People need to see what Labor will have fights on, and to compare with how One Nation votes in parliament.

Some light-hearted moments between Rebecca and Wayne, recalling Rebecca's tax, transfer pricing, and superannuation reform legislation work while working for Wayne when he was the federal treasurer.
